Have you stopped by the Career Center lately? Need your resume critiqued? Need to prepare for an interview?

Then please feel free to contact me. My name is Ellen Sears and I am your new Career Consultant. I am here to assist you with resume critiques, career coaching, interview skills, internships and much more!

Each semester we want to provide you with a list of upcoming events and ways to connect with companies!

1. Appointments: To set up an appointment with me, please contact the front desk at 706-542-3375.

2. Satellite hours: I will be in the Miller Learning Center (across from Jittery Joes) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm every Thursday.

3. Student walk-in: 10-15 minute appointments are available from 11:00am to 1:00pm Monday through Friday at the Career Center. I am on duty every Tuesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

4. Upcoming events for students:

  • Terry Boot Camp: January 20th
    • Brand new program specifically for Terry students! From 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Tate Center

  • For all majors: January 27th Spring Career Fair
    • 12:00-5:00pm at the Classic Center in downtown Athens. Check out the list of employers on DAWGlink.

  • Campus Interviews: February 3rd - April 23rd

  • Careers in Panels: February 10th
    • From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MLC 150

  • Environment and Alternative Energy: March 24th
    • From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MLC 150

  • Motion: April 7th
    • From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MLC 150

  • Event Planning: April 14th
    • From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MLC 150
