About Abigail: Abigail Weinstein is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting at the Terry College of Business. As well as being involved in SMIS, Abigail is an active member of Hillel as Co-Director of Special Events and a member of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority. Abigail's interest includes playing soccer, watching UGA football games, shopping and cooking.
Joining the Society of Management Information Systems at the beginning of my freshman year was both a great opportunity to explore the field of Management Information System and a vital piece of my academia. This organization has allowed me the chance to develop as a MIS student and to network with students and professionals in the IT world. No matter what major is being pursued, students will find SMIS to be a rewarding experience at the University of Georgia.

About Shayan: Shayan Samani is a senior pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management of Information Systems from the University of Georgia. In addition to SMIS, Shayan is the president of The Multicultural Greek Council and the Internal Vice President for Sigma Beta Rho, Fraternity, Inc. Some of his interests include photography, web design, basketball, community service and spending time with family and friends.
Joining SMIS has already proved to be one of the best decisions that I have made while at UGA. The organization provides constant opportunities to network with professionals as well as other business students and exposes members to the workings of many different companies. I could not recommend more that all MIS students become involved with the SMIS organization.

About Erin: Erin Toms is a Senior pursuing a BBA in Management Information Systems from Terry College of Business. In addition to SMIS, Erin is a MIS Advisory Board Student Representative. Erin will be working as a consultant doing Business Analytics and Optimization starting in the summer. Erin's interest include club/travel soccer, tennis, skiing out west, swimming and water sports, hiking, interior design, and traveling.

About Grant: Grant Grussing is a 3rd year student in the Honors College at The University of Georgia. He is pursuing a triple major in the Terry College of Business in Economics, Finance, and Management Information Systems with a minor in Statistics. Grant has previously interned with Deloitte and SunTrust and is hoping to pursue a career in consulting. Outside of school, Grant is a UGA student Bus Driver and enjoys sailing, racquetball, and going to UGA athletic events.

Joining the Society of Management Information Systems was one of the best decisions I made upon entering the University of Georgia. This organization brings to me the resources I need to successfully leave the University of Georgia with my dream career. The people I have met and the growth I have had as an individual because of SMIS is truly one of a kind.

His interests include Georgia football, lacrosse, entrepreneurship, and spending time with family and friends.
Joining SMIS is something every MIS major should seriously consider. The experiences and opportunities SMIS has provided for me have been invaluable and have helped me sharpen my career focus. Any business major with and interest in IT will find SMIS both rewarding and fun.

About Thinh: Thinh Vu is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management of Information Systems from the University of Georgia. In addition to SMIS, Thinh is a member of the Vietnamese Student Association and Multicultural Business Student Association. Some of his interests include playing tennis, learning about emerging technologies, and spending time with friends and family.
As a result of the opportunities SMIS has presented, I have greatly grown my networking abilities as well as expanded my knowledge of the IT industry. The organization has allowed me to utilize what I've learned in school and apply it to the real. The value of what I've received from SMIS is much greater than the membership fee I first put in.

SMIS is the best thing I could have done outside of academics. It has provided me with such great networking opportunities that I wouldn't have received anywhere else. Being able to constantly interact with professionals has made for excellent practice with interviews and networking events. SMIS is the best way an MIS student can find out what opportunities companies have to offer.

Being involved in SMIS is very beneficial for me, as an MIS major, and for other majors within the Terry College of Business. It allows to interact with professionals and alumni about potential career opportunities. This organization gives me an opportunity to communicate with numerous of companies that are usually tough to come by.

Joining the Society for Management Information Systems has opened many doors for students while attending the University of Georgia. It has personally allowed me to explore what various jobs are looking for as well as provided tremendous networking opportunities. Joining the executive board for SMIS has really proved to me that this was one of the best decisions I have made thus far!
